CLI Project #1 Data Gem

It’s been a month since I have began my journey into becoming a software engineer and I must say I am loving the process. From knowing the basic, to the very technical lessons, every step of the way I am becoming better at understanding what it is this career entails. A special concept that this project taught me was I learn better through doing projects. Understanding I am a project based learner gives me more of an understanding how i can excel my learning and become a better programmer.

While approaching the project I watched many videos to understand what I was doing and for what reason. I followed my cohort’s example and created an NBA scraper as well as a soccer scraper and gem. Once I completed these two task I tried a different route and found a currency conversion app. Upon completing the task I found many different ways to approach the program. I was satisfied with what I have completed and will continue to do more projects. It can only benefit me in the long run accompanied with the curriculum at Flat Iron.
